Oklahoma Trash Poster Contest

Enter the Oklahoma Trash Poster Contest 2023 – 2024 for your chance to win cash prizes, If you’re a student in Oklahoma from kindergarten to high school, you can take participate in this contest. All you have to do is to make a cool poster that shows solutions to stop littering in Oklahoma. There are cash prizes for winners in each grade level—$300 for first place, $200 for second, and $150 for third. If your poster is extra special, you might win even more exciting prizes.

Deadline of this contest is January 31, 2024. You need to send your poster and a form to your local County Department of Environmental Quality Office. Winners will be picked in March and get awarded at an event in April in Oklahoma City. If you win, you’ll get cash, a special T-shirt, and even recognition at the State Capitol. Plus, your poster might end up in the 2025 Trash Poster Calendar!

Make sure your poster follows the rules: it should be positive, original, and show ideas to solve litter problems. Use certain paper sizes, no fancy stuff like glitter or computer-made designs, and definitely no inappropriate content. Check the website for more details!

  • Poster entries must provide a positive message and focus on solutions to Oklahoma’s litter problems.
  • 11” X 17” or 12” X 18” paper or posterboard preferred, if available.
  • Must be student’s ORIGINAL slogan and artwork, and must be “age appropriate” within grade divisions.
  • NO glue; NO glitter; NO attachments; NO signatures; NO year dates on front of posters!
  • NO syndicated & NO copyrighted & NO clipart images; NO name brands, NO Company or Corporate names!
  • NO computer-aided poster entries! NO copy-machine poster entries!
  • NO profanity; NO sexually explicit content; and NO drawings of a suggestible nature allowed.
  • Attach FULLY COMPLETED ENTRY FORM to back of poster in upper right corner.
  • Reproducibility, spelling, grammar, and poster message also factors into judges’ decisions. Use good
    lettering, high contrast, & bright colors on paper or posterboard preferred sizes 11” x 17” or 12” x 18”.
  • Please follow all poster contest rules or face disqualification of poster entry.

MAIL posters to your local County Dept. of Environmental Quality Office postmarked by, Jan. 31, 2024.
