BK Million Dollar Whopper Contest invites legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, aged 18 or older, to submit up to three Whopper sandwich ideas via BK Royal Perks at bk.com/mdw. Each idea must feature 3-8 toppings and will be judged based on feasibility, popularity, and innovation. Three finalists will be selected, collaborating with Burger King to create LTO Whopper sandwiches. Public voting in November 2024 will determine the $1 million dollar prize winner, with additional cash prizes for second and third place. Entrants must enroll in BK Royal Perks and adhere to specific guidelines outlined in the official rules.

These chosen Finalists will team up with Burger King to bring their MDW Contenders to life, crafting restaurant-ready versions. These exclusive Whopper sandwiches will hit participating U.S. restaurants in November 2024 as a Limited Time Offer. While available for purchase, the public will have the chance to cast their votes online for their favorite version.

The Finalist representing the MDW Contender with the highest votes will walk away with the grand $1,000,000 prize. Not to be outdone, the LTO Whopper sandwiches of the second and third-place Finalists, determined by public voting, will also earn them cash prizes. It’s a flavorful competition that promises both culinary creativity and exciting rewards.

How To Enter BK Million Dollar Whopper Contest?

During the contest period visit https://www.bk.com/mdw (the “Site”), read the Contest Official Rules, and carefully follow the instructions for submitting your Contest Entry.

Step 1: Begin by selecting either a 100% Flame-Grilled Beef patty or an Impossible™ patty for your Whopper Idea. This choice does not influence the evaluation of your Whopper Idea by the Sponsor.

Step 2: Add a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of eight (8) “Toppings” to your Contest Entry, adhering to the Toppings Guidelines provided below:

• Toppings must be edible food items.
• Toppings should be described in English, with a 25-character limit on the Topping Name.
• Prohibited items include non-edible/non-food items, peanuts and crustacean shellfish (“Prohibited Allergens”), and beverages.

The Million Dollar Whopper AI Tool reviews each submitted Topping, recognizing millions of edible items. In case a Topping is not recognized, Entrants can attempt to submit a Topping with similar intended taste and texture.

Step 3: After submitting and reviewing your Toppings, you will be prompted to register or log in to your BK Royal Perks account. Enrollment in BK® Royal Perks is free but subject to its Terms and Conditions. Visit https://www.bk.com/royalperks to enroll or log in.

Limit: Each Entrant can submit up to three (3) Contest Entries during the Contest Submission Period. Any additional entries beyond this limit, including those from multiple BK Royal Perks accounts or automated systems, may result in disqualification. In case of identity disputes, Sponsor and Prize Administrator will rely on the information provided during BK® Royal Perks registration. Toppings Guidelines:

Entrants should adhere to the following guidelines while selecting Toppings:

• Toppings must be edible and safe for human consumption.
• Each Topping represents a single edible food item, providing the taste associated with it.
• Toppings can be a mixture of ingredients, treated as a single item, such as salsa or marinara sauce.
• If a Topping comes in different varieties or flavors, specify the variety (e.g., blue cheese, granny smith apple, red onion).
• Assume a food-safe state of preparation common to a hamburger-based sandwich from a typical Burger King restaurant.
• If using a Topping more than once (e.g., two slices of American cheese), list it separately for each use.
• Include name-brand Toppings; however, if a trademark license cannot be obtained, Burger King will substitute a generic version.

Toppings will be judged based on feasibility for use in a Burger King restaurant’s hamburger-based sandwich, considering availability, cost, storage, preparation, and cooking requirements.

Who Can Enter: Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who have reached the age of 18 years old and have enrolled in BK Royal Perks at the time of entry.

Contest Period: Burger King Whopper Contest entry begins on February 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. ET and all entries must be received by March 17, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
